Two month ago I bought a new phone and it was running great. suddenly one week ago my wifi was disconnecting automatically when screen is off. It was reconnecting itself when I unlock my phone. It was strange. I had no idea what went wrong there, maybe I accidentally changed some of the phone settings and that’s why it was disconnecting Wi-Fi.
I found out that it happened because i changed the Battery and Data Manager settings. I put my phone in Maximum Battery Saving Mode . There may be two reasons why your phone is disconnecting Wi-Fi frequently. Either you have enabled Maximum Power Saving mode which turning off your wifi and all the other unnecessary application to save battery or you have enabled Wi-Fi Sleep policy “When Screen Turns off”. To fix this problem follow below steps.
First we will change Wi-Fi Sleep Policy and then we will change Battery and Data Manager settings.
Wi-Fi Sleep Policy:
1Go to Wireless and Networks settings

2Tap on Wi-Fi Settings. As show in image below.

3Now go to Advanced Wi-Fi Settings by.

4Tap on Wi-Fi Sleep Policy.

5Change Wi-Fi Sleep Policy to Never.

By selecting Never, your phone will never turned off Wi-Fi automatically when phone is idle, locked or when screen goes off.
Battery and Data Manager:
1Go to android settings by Taping on menu.

Done, above steps will definitely fix this issue.
