How to Disable Tracking own Pageview in blogger

Bloggers  tracking your own pageviews is enable by default. That means whatever modification, edit you do on your blog it will count as a pageview. However you can disable or stop it. If you go to your publish posts area, you will find View Count column just beside the posts. That shows you how many visitors have seen this page or posts so far. It gives you an idea of which posts is Popular. You can use this real time stats to your advantage and write on similar topic which eventually boost your blog traffic and earnings.

For example if your pageview is 1000 per day then there might be possibility that half of that pageview are yours. Now if your blogger’s blog is tracking you as a pageviews then it won’t be a accurate. It will give you false and misleading stats which can do real harm to your blog . So it is recommended to disable it for more accurate real time state. Follow below steps to stop tracking your own pageview.

How to disable or stop tracking your own pageviews in blogger

1Login to you blogger’s blog and click on Stats.

2Click on Don’t track you own pageviews, as show picture below.

3A box will appear, Click on I understand like picture above.

4Now click on Don’t Track my Pageview, and save it.

You're Done!

Now if you’re using custom domain for your blogger blog then you will find below error:

There was an error while fetching stats. Please reload page.

In that case copy below code and paste it in your web browser address and hit enter. Please replace teachmetutorial with your domain name.

After hitting enter you see below massage.
